Aran Collier: Owner – Cheif Executive Officer, Solar Thermal Systems Design Expert

Aran co-founded Sun First in 1984 to live the dream of sharing his passionate interest of solar energy. Aran is a graduate of Humbolt State University with a B.S. in Energy Resource Planning and was a founding member of Campus Center for Appropriate Technology. He is an expert on all forms of solar systems - photovoltaic solar hot water and solar pools. Because of this wealth of experience, he is able to design a system of any size and for any constraints. His incredible memory serves him well in remembering most of the clients that Sun First has worked with through the years. He greatly enjoys the family-feel of Sun First, and has purposefully kept the company "lean and agile" through the years.

Aran Moore, Owner – Chief Operating Officer

Aran co-founded Sun First in 1984. He has gone through extensive training and certification in the solar industry with such experts as Sharp, BP, Sunpower and Heliodyne. Aran has ompleted further training in sustainable energy and business administration through San Francisco State University and UC Berkeley. As the operations manager, he is responsible for the installation process of each Sun First solar system. Aran is a well rounded solar expert who understands everything from off grid battery packs to rebate applications, and keeps abreast of the latest in solar technology. Aran's expertise in marketing and business development help keep Sun First on track for this new century of growth.

Chet Stromberg,  Owner - Director of Business Development

Chet graduated from Humbolt State University with a B.S. in Sustainable Development Engineering. While a stuend, he was a director at the Campus Center for Appropriate Technology. Chet has been continuously employed in the solar industry since then with many of the biggest names in the business. He also served two years in the peace corps, and five more with the office of the Prime Minister of the Cook Islands doing sustainable development.

In his tenure he has designed, installed, and sold every kind and size of system available, and has experience with financing and PPA solar options. He has worked with residential and commercial PV systems and residential hot water system. He enjoys heading up the sales team at Sun First because of the excellent business culture in the office.
